Let’s be honest—most people have no idea where their time really goes. I’ve lived that. Hyperfocus? It’s not just about being “in the zone”—it can eat an entire day, rob you of sleep, and leave you asking why you didn’t get the thing done that really mattered. I built MojiTrack because this problem is personal, and the typical tools out there just weren’t built for someone like me (or a lot of people I care about).

Hyperfocus and Productive Procrastination—What’s Really Happening?
For me, it started with noticing how “productive” I could look, while actually dancing around my real priorities. You know that feeling: “I could have knocked out my main task, but I spent all this time on something else instead.” It’s productive procrastination, and it leaves you frustrated—knowing life would probably just run smoother if you’d faced the hard thing first. But it’s not just about discipline. Hyperfocus pulls you in and you can lose track of yourself, your goals, even your basic needs like sleep.
Why Easy, Personal Tracking Matters
Let’s face it, time tracking sucks if it’s not simple. Most apps are made for people clocking hours at work—not for folks who actually want to see how they live, not just how they work. You only stick with tracking if it feels natural, and if it’s easy to do, every time. That’s why I tried to make MojiTrack as close to “second nature” as possible. The whole point is for people to see the story of their time—and the reality can be surprising, sometimes even uncomfortable, but always useful.
Not Just Logging Hours—Why Outcomes Matter
To me, logging time is just the beginning. MojiTrack isn’t about counting minutes; it’s about understanding: “Where is my energy actually going? Is it lining up with who I want to be?” A lot of the other trackers feel cold. I wanted something outcome-focused. I want MojiTrack—and its future versions—to move you from “just tracking” to actually changing things for the better. It’s about real insight and making that next decision just a little easier.
The Real Story—A Moment That Hit Home
I can’t tell you how many days ended with me looking back, kind of annoyed at myself, realizing I’d spent all my energy but avoided the one thing that would have made tomorrow better. That internal clash—knowing, but not doing—hits everyone, but it’s especially tough for neurodivergent people. Quantifying it? Nearly impossible. That’s why I wanted something more “human”—less a spreadsheet, more a reflection.
Building Without Certainty—And Why I Still Do It
I’ll be real: I don’t know if this app will “make it.” I love building, but there’s always that fear—pouring hours in, hoping someone else finds it useful, with no promise of a payoff. But now that version 1 is live, I’ve set real targets. If those land, there’s a V2 roadmap all about making personal insights way more lively and helpful—pushing MojiTrack past time-tracking and toward a holistic personal organizer.
Keeping Control—Privacy and Trust
One thing I didn’t want was users stressing about, “Who’s looking at my info?” MojiTrack keeps your data with you, on your device, unless you say otherwise. You have all the toggles to control what it collects and how, because if you’re not comfortable, you can’t use the app in a real, honest way. I’d never want someone giving up privacy just to get better insights. The control is always in the user’s hands.
Big Picture—Why This Matters Now
We all know tech moves fast, and it’s easier than ever to get overwhelmed. In a world that constantly demands our attention, time management isn’t a nice-to-have—it’s survival, especially for neurodivergent folks. If we want to live and work in ways that don’t burn us out, we need smarter, kinder tools. MojiTrack is me trying to offer something that actually gets it.
