Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled for the MojiTrack mobile app and the devrel.dad website.

Scope

• MojiTrack mobile app: A time tracker that uses emojis, with optional metadata like location, weather, and calendar events when you grant permission.
• Website (devrel.dad): This site and its contact form.

MojiTrack Data You Create

MojiTrack stores your logged activities, emoji settings, goals, metadata, and insights locally on your device.

iCloud Sync (Private CloudKit)

If you enable iCloud Sync, your MojiTrack data is stored in your private iCloud account using CloudKit, tied to your Apple ID. This data is encrypted and accessible only to you. I do not have access to your iCloud data.

No Developer Access

Outside of optional AI insights processing (described below), I do not receive, view, or store your MojiTrack data on any server.

Optional Permissions

If you enable permissions, MojiTrack can add metadata to entries such as:

• Location
• Weather
• Calendar events

You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time.

Analytics and Ads

MojiTrack uses third-party services for analytics and advertising:

• AdMob for advertising
• Google Analytics via Firebase for usage analytics
• Apple App Analytics when enabled in iOS

These providers may collect device information and usage data according to their own privacy policies. If ads are enabled and you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).

AI Insights Processing

If you request AI insights, the app sends your time entries, emoji names, goals, and optional metadata (location, weather, and calendar context) to MojiTrack's Vercel API to generate insights. A device identifier is used to issue short-lived access tokens, and premium access may include an App Store receipt for verification. We do not sell your data.

We are unable to link this data to a named user account or profile.

Insights Sampling

MojiTrack may periodically sample goals and insights data to improve the quality of insights. Any sampled data is aggregated and not linked to individual users.

Subscriptions and Payments

If you subscribe to MojiTrack, subscription and payment data are handled by Apple. I do not receive your payment details.

Website Contact Form

If you submit the contact form on devrel.dad, your information is sent to HubSpot so I can respond. This data is stored in HubSpot and in my email.

Data Retention

• MojiTrack: Your data remains on your device. If iCloud Sync is enabled, your data is also stored in your private iCloud account. Deleting the app removes the data stored by the app on that device.
• Contact form: Messages are retained only as long as needed to respond or for record-keeping.

Children’s Privacy

MojiTrack and this website are not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent changes.
